Your Decks, Your Brand: Custom Covers and the Deck Library

Decks were already shareable. Now they're yours, visibly: upload your own cover art, put your name on the card backs, and let anyone discover your deck in the new community library.

A Cover That Is Yours

Every deck has always had a generated cover: a unique gradient and motif derived from the deck itself. It looks good, but it doesn't look like you.

With ComposerDeck Pro, you can now upload your own cover art. Pick any image and we crop it to the card format, the same 5:7 proportions as a physical playing card. Your artwork then shows everywhere the deck lives: the deck page, the share link, the library, and the backs of the cards themselves when someone draws from your deck.

And because a deck is a signature, your name travels with it. The share page and the card backs read "by you", using the display name from your profile.

A teacher's class deck with the school's artwork. A label's remix-challenge deck with the single's cover. A producer's practice deck with their logo. When someone draws from it, they know whose table they're sitting at.

Moderated by Design

ComposerDeck is a shared space, so custom covers follow the same rule as community cards and comments: everything public goes through review.

When you upload a cover, it enters a moderation queue. Until it's approved, the public keeps seeing your deck's generated visual, while you see your upload with a small "awaiting moderation" badge. Once approved, it goes live everywhere at once. Replace the image and the new one goes through the same quick review. No surprises, for anyone.

The Deck Library

The other half of this update is for everyone, free and Pro alike: the community deck library.

Open Explore from the Decks page and you'll find every public deck the community has shared, in one searchable place. Search by title, description or creator, open any deck's page, and load it into your studio with one click.

  • Browse the newest public decks with their covers and creators.
  • Search for a genre, a mood, a teacher, a friend.
  • Load and draw: any deck in the library is one click away from your next hand.

Publishing your own deck to the library is exactly what it always was: flip your deck to public and it's in. Every deck in the library contains only approved cards, so anything you open is safe to draw from.

On the Card Backs

Our favorite detail: when you load a deck and pull a hand, the cards that come from the deck wear its cover on their backs, with the deck badge and the creator's name. Watching a hand of someone else's cards flip over, dressed in their artwork, makes a shared deck feel like a physical object that was handed to you.

Make It Yours

The library is open to everyone today. Custom covers are live for Pro members on the web app. If you publish a deck you're proud of, with or without a custom cover, share the link with us: the best community decks will get a spotlight.
